Every brand has a first hundred people. The ones who show up before there is much to show them, who take a chance on an idea because something about it rings true. Americas Cornerstones wanted to mark that in a way that would last longer than a discount code or a thank-you email.
That is where the Founding Members challenge coin originates.
What a challenge coin is
A challenge coin is a small, hand-numbered medallion carried as a keepsake of recognition. The tradition runs deep in military and first-responder culture, where a coin is not bought but given, and where carrying one means you were there. It is a quiet object. It fits in a pocket. It does not announce anything to a room. That restraint is exactly why it fit Americas Cornerstones.
The numbers 001 to 100
Only one hundred Founding Member coins were minted. Each one is hand-numbered, from 001 to 100, and each number will belong to one of the first 100 qualifying customers. Coins will be assigned and distributed in the order that qualifying purchases come in, so the number you receive is a record of when you became a founding member of Americas Cornerstones. Number 004 joined before number 067. That is the whole meaning of it.
A qualifying purchase is any order that includes one of the two Cornerstone Classics pieces: the embroidered Quarter-Zip Fleece Pullover or the embroidered Premium Hoodie. These are the heaviest, most refined items in the catalog, crafted on premium quality Cotton Heritage blanks.
Why does the Founding Member Program close with only 100 Founding Members?
Once all one hundred coins are distributed, the program closes. There will never be a coin numbered 101. No anniversary re-issue, no second series with a different finish. If that sounds strict, it is on purpose. A limited thing that keeps getting un-limited was never really limited. The people who hold coins 001 through 100 will always be the only people who hold them.
How the coin reaches you
Founding Member coins ship separately from your apparel, in a velvet presentation box, sent by mail (separately from your apparel order) once your qualifying order is confirmed. Your shirts or pullover or hoodie may arrive first and the coin follows on its own. You will get a separate note when it is on its way.
A permanent place in how the brand grows
Being a Founding Member is not a loyalty tier with points to spend. It is a fixed fact. Founding Members were one of the first hundred people who decided this was worth supporting with a qualifying purchase. The coin you receive is unique, with an imprinted/stamped number that will not be given to anyone else.
If you have been considering purchasing a Cornerstone Classic Hoodie or Fleece Pullover, the Founding Members window is open now and will close after the 100th member is confirmed.
